Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar

By: Grateful Heart Living

Share
Apple cider vinegar (ACV) has been used as a “home remedy” for centuries, and it has recently come back into mainstream fashion as an effective and natural remedy for a variety of ailments. The benefits of ACV are numerous, ranging from helping to maintain a healthy weight, to alleviating digestive problems, to fighting colds and infections, to improving skin health.

Many studies on ACV have looked into its ability to help people maintain a healthy weight. ACV has been discovered to help increase feelings of satiety, which helps reduce overeating and keeps calorie intake in check. Additionally, ACV is thought to help break down fat molecules and speed up metabolism, further allowing for weight management success.

ACV also has a number of digestive benefits. It helps to stimulate the production of digestive enzymes, aiding in the breakdown of food and absorption of nutrients. ACV also helps to balance the body’s pH levels, reducing the risk of digestive issues.

Due to its acidity, too much of it can upset your stomach and even cause tissue damage to your esophagus. That is why you need to take it in gummy form or be sure to dilute it every time. Scroll below to see a few ways to take ACV.

Ways to take ACV

Apple cider vinegar is a popular natural remedy said to have a host of health benefits, such as lowering cholesterol and improving digestion. There are several different way to take it; however, the most effective is to dilute it in water. Here are some of the ways to take ACV:

• Add one to two teaspoons of raw, organic apple cider vinegar to a glass of water (about eight ounces). Drink it up to twice a day.

• Mix one to two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar with a tablespoon of organic honey, and drink it twice a day.

• Add one to two teaspoons of raw apple cider vinegar to a salad or cooked vegetable dish to boost the nutrient content.

• Make a detox drink by mixing one teaspoon of raw apple cider vinegar, one teaspoon of honey, two tablespoons of lemon juice and two cups of warm water. Drink this every morning on an empty stomach.

• Add two teaspoons of apple cider vinegar to hot tea.
